Architectural Design

Gregory Sharp Architect provides professional architectural design services in five phases: schematic design services, design development services, construction document services, bid and negotiation services, and construction contract administration services. In the first phase we learn about your dreams and requirements for the project, research the legal parameters of your property, and then sketch out ideas and develop options to identify the best design solutions. Design development builds on the final schematic design document, adding the details and working through technical challenges.

The construction document is a buildable set of drawings documenting the project so we can get it approved by all authorities and government agencies and submitted to contractors for construction estimates. During the bid phase, we’ll help you evaluate the bids and select the best contractor for the job. As your project is being built, we’ll review the contractor’s work, coordinate and provide detail sketches, answer questions, review and approve shop drawings and address requested changes. Good architecture is the successful collection of good details that maximize the potential of your project, meeting your needs and exceeding your expectations.
